Learn Jainism Books
To go with the website we have produced two books called ‘Discover Jainism’ and 'Jain Tales'. Many of the activities on the website are linked to these books. ‘Discover Jainism’ is the first book on Jainism that is aimed at young people and is an introduction to the ideas and lives of Jains in Britain and India.
'Jain Tales' consists of eight tales that take you on a journey through some of the most important beliefs and ideas of the ancient Indian faith of Jainism. From an argument between a bird and a monkey through to the strange and vivid dreams of a Queen the stories in this book are packed with mystery, strange happenings and a wisdom that is thousands of years old.
We are planning to produce more books in the ‘Learn Jainism’ series. The next book will be on Jain art and architecture.

Book Reviews
Jain Tales Review by Nayana Sunil – Year 4.
"I think this book is very interesting and should be read by everyone. This book tells us how reliable and trustworthy a Jain should be. The book is very well illustrated and written. I think this book is quite simple and understandable for children because lots of religious books are written with complicated words. My favourite story in the book is called ‘King Megharath’. The king gives up his own life just to save a pigeon’s."
